01/09/2008 Almost made it Saturday night in Latvia was another one of those finals for me. I had scored really well throughout the meeting and finished as top scorer. Everything went perfect for me. The track started to go a little slick in the starts towards the end and that caused me to miss the start in the final. I made a great cutback up the inside, but the others had already got their wheels inline and they were gone. The are many positives on the night though as we know we are getting there and we a closing the gap on everyone in front of us. The Championship is Still achievable and we are not out of it yet. What a busy weekend it has been with four meetings in 5 days and 3 countries and I have a busy schedule this week too. Tonight I am in Wroclaw for the second leg of our Polish playoff meeting. We had a tough meeting against them last night as they ran us close, although we came away with a 14 point lead. On paper we look to have the stronger team however going to their place tonight won’t be easy and we are going to need every one of those 14 points and make the most of them. Tomorrow I will be back in Sweden for a league fixture then I will be doing another update once I catch my breath. Next week I have something new for my racing diary which is a fixture for my Russian team. I will be riding for Vladivostok in the Ukraine on September 4th. I signed a short contract with them and I will be sure to give you a full update on how that goes. Greg
