German GP Cancelled
Well as most of you will know the GP in German got cancelled this weekend due to adverse weather conditions. Most of us are now wondering how you can have adverse weather conditions on an indoor track, but it has left all the riders, not just me, totally disappointed with the situation. We feel that the way it has been dealt with is very unprofessional from our stand point and we feel very hard done by. The track was an absolute mess and racing would have been dangerous, but we were told very little about what was happening throughout the weekend. Now we have been told that we are racing in Bydgoszcz, Poland next Saturday on a track that is not neutral. This on its own is not fair on the fans that had planned for months and had made the trip to Germany to then be turned around or the riders who now have to make arrangements to get to Poland next week. We have already raced at Bydgoszcz this GP season and the event should be on a neutral track. I would like to apologise to all my sponsors and fans that made the journey and I hope you are fired up for the final next week.
That said I now have to focus on next weekend where there is still a job to do. There is still a silver medal within reach. We have to now contend with a stronger challenge from Tomasz Gollob, who gets a second go at his home track. From my point of view I have go there with the aim for a repeat of 4 weeks ago and stand on top of that rostrum again.
Greg
