Greg Hancock has today signed a deal to race in Poland for Stal Rzeszow next season, completing his league racing programme for 2018.
Greg announced he wouldn’t be racing in the Polish Ekstraliga next season last month, but he has been in dialogue with some lower division clubs and is delighted to have penned a deal with Rzeszow.
He said:
It all happened really quickly to be honest, I only booked my flight ticket at 8am this morning (Monday) and the deal was done by Monday evening – it all came together perfectly and I haven’t been this excited about racing in a long time.
“The new President of the club, Irek Nawrocki, has been incredible to deal with and he has some big plans for the club and I am really excited to be a part of it. It was so refreshing to do a deal so quickly with people who just want to move the club forward – it’s really exciting.
“We are putting together a strong team and it’s going to be a lot of fun, so I really want to thank Mr Nawrocki for bringing the deal together and I can’t wait to wear the colours of Stal again. They have some amazing fans and it’s going to be awesome to race for them again.
“With Dackarna in Sweden and now Rzeszow in Poland I am really happy with my league racing programme and I’m just looking forward to next season.
“We’ve got some big plans in the pipeline, which we will be revealing pretty soon, so stay tuned – it’s going to be fun.
