Greg was forced to withdraw from the 2017 FIM British Speedway Grand Prix on Saturday as he suffered two dislocations in his left shoulder in practice on Friday.

It is an old injury which flared up again this week after an accident at home, and during official practice his shoulder came out of the socket. After some treatment from the on-site FIM doctor, Greg continued with practice but it popped out again in his third run.

On Saturday morning, Greg went for a physio appointment and again got the shoulder strapped up and he hoped it would be strong enough to race through the pain barrier, but after half of the first lap, in his first race, he pulled up and made the decision to withdraw from the meeting.

Greg will now get an MRI scan in Sweden before deciding the next steps in treating the injury.

A huge thank you to Seary Physiotherapy for treating Greg at such short notice on Saturday and to all the fans for their incredible support. We’ll be back!
